On the night of October 13, my black Wallerang Tapper electric bike, which was locked, was stolen out of our garage located on 50th Avenue NE and NE 39th Street.
They got the battery but no charger or key to get the battery off, without which its just a 50 pound bike.
I have reported this information to the police.

On the night of May 27th, our brand new blue Marin Hybrid bike was stolen out of our garage, on the 4500 block of 47th Avenue NE.
Presumably, the thief was on foot as no other bikes were taken. The car inside the garage was also rifled through.
Please publish this and hopefully someone will have some information.
We live on the 3800 block of 42nd Avenue NE and on October 1, a metal and stone sculpture of a heron that was in our garden was stolen.
We had also had 2 large koi stole from our yard in the winter that were also taken.
Neighbors to the north of us on the same street had a metal decorative multiple pot holder garden ornament, which was also stolen from their yard this summer.
And further south on the same street neighbors had multiple large full planters stolen.
Have there been a rash of these? Is there anything that can be done? I filed a police report but don’t know what else to do.
I would appreciate some advice.
On Monday, September 1, I discovered that all of the books in my little outdoor “library,” in the 4800 block of NE 41st Street, had somehow disappeared. I do hope that whoever took them loves the Winnie the Pooh ones as much as I do, and the Ian McEwen is a goodie too. Oh, and “The Joy Luck Club” – you’ll really enjoy that one.
All 12 books (or however many there were) make a varied reading experience, and I am glad you are expanding your interest in reading! Now you owe me 12 favorites – thanks in advance.
I am presuming it was kids on a lark, meaning no harm. I think this might be a talking issue for families, about respect, etc.
My 6 year old son's 20" Trek bike was take from in front our home on the 4700 block of 46th Avenue NE, sometime between late Tuesday night and early Wed morning Oct 23rd. It is black and blue with the words MT 60 on the down tube.
My son is devastated as he rode his bike all the time. My husband put a lot of work into the bike, adding gears, brakes and new tires.
My son left the bike in our front yard between two sets of stairs so someone would have to deliberately walk up our stairs to take the bike.

Two unlocked red mountain bikes were taken from our front porch between 10am and 3pm yestserday. One was a young mens "iron horse" and the other was a women's "Trek."
The bikes were not visible from the street and required the thief to come through our front gate and walk up to the front door in order to visualize and take them.
We want neighbors to be alert to prowlers even in the daylight hours. It is unsettling to think someone is coming into gated yards and sneaking around with criminal intentions.
We live in the 4600 block of NE 54th Street, bordering Sand Point Way on the back, a fairly high traffic area very close to Katterman's pharmacy.
If anyone has information or the bikes were dumped somewhere in the neighborhood we would appreciate any leads.

My daughter had her blue Trek bike stolen from the Laurelhurst Elementary School South Playground indoor play court this past Thursday between 2-3:25pm yesterday.
The serial number is C60B8474.
She may have seen an older kid ride off on a blue bike, but not at all sure if it was hers.

We had a car broken into Thursday night on 42nd Avenue NE just south of Children's hospital. A wallet was taken.
If anyone finds a purple Juicy wallet please let us know. All credit cards have been cancelled and there wasn't any money in the wallet. We just want the wallet back.
I would like to report that on April 29th my husband’s work truck was stolen from our driveway. We live on 36th Avenue NEand NE 43rd Street . The van was found about two weeks later with all of the tools that were inside missing. We had to repair the doors and ignition.
On the night of May 23rd we were awakened to anoise outside at about 3:30 am. My husband got up and looked outside theside door to see a van pulling away that looked like Shuttle Express. That morning we noticed the window to our family minivan was broken and the contents inside stolen. After talking to neighbors on NE 42nd, we foundout that a car was stolen from someone house sitting that same night. They said it was between the hours of 10pm and 6 am.
Yesterday morning, May 30th, we found on our lawn what appears to be items that were probably discarded from a car that had been burglurized in the early morning hours.
Items include a black purse with a notebook and other items but no wallet or other identifying information. There are also two electronic items and a pair of size 8 women’s orthotic snow boots. If you think they belong to you or know who they might belong to please let us know.

On 42nd Avenue NE. someone stole a red three candy cane set of outdoor lights on 12/19/2011. How low can you go? Not a big deal but kind of troublesome.
A neighbor around the 4500 block of 54th Avenue N.E. was surprised to find the Christmas lights were stolen off the bushes in their front yard last night.... Were there any Grinch sightings in the neighborhood the last few days?
There seems to be an increasing number of thefts from outdoor Christmas displays this year. One house that has an extensive display in the 4100 block of 42nd Avenue NE, lost a lighted Santa off of their front porch. Other neighbors elsewhere in Laurelhurst have reported stolen lights and wreaths.Unfortunately last year as well, a reader wrote to us of lights being vandalized.
At 7:50 am, Monday , October 31st, I started my SUV to warm it up, went inside and came back out at 8:00 am. The car was gone, stolen!
The car was parked in our drive way, about 40 feet from the front door, 5 feet from the overhead garage door and right under the master bedroom window.
The location is near the corner on NE 45th Street and 51st Avenue NE.
I had noticed earlier that morning an old car with few guys in it that did not look like they were from the 'hood. Who knows if they were the thieves?
Point: some bad guys are regularly driving our neighborhood and at all times looking for opportunities. The policeman who responded to the call said SUV’s are in demand in Russia and he would not be surprised in my car was on a boat to Russia.
Fortunately, the car was found last Saturday morning by Bellevue police near Factoria area. The Bellevue policeman was responding to, you guessed it, a report of stolen car – the car was warming up in the drive way and someone drove it off. My car was found very close by, with the engine still warm.
The thieves found a car they liked better than mine. That is an insult I can live with!! They did not like my taste in music either as all my CD’s were left in the car. Minor damage to my car, but personal belongings gone including a PC sitting on the floor, nice rain / over coat and the car’s owner’ manual.
My car’s plates were gone, but an Idaho and another WA plate were found in my car. Point here is the thieves likely quickly replaced my car’s plates with different plates.

It's a green Trek aluminum mountain bike and should have the small connector piece for a tandem bike attached under the seat.
