Golden Dog Seen Running Around Villa This Morning

The Laurelhurst Blog received this information from a teacher at Villa Academy:
This morning, I found a medium size, golden colored dog running around on our campus this morning. She (I think) clearly had tags, but wouldn't come close enough to me for me to check it.
When a car came around the bend, she ended up running into our woods. I have a feeling it is a neighborhood dog who got out and someone will be looking for.

Have You Seen An Elderly Jack Russell Terrier?

 1

The Laurelhurst Blog received this information:

On Sunday, May 14 at 5am, our old Jack Russell terrier, Libby, wandered away near 49th Avenue NE and NE 39th Street.
Libby is mainly white with brown/grey ears and a black spot. She is wearing booties on her back feet.
She is deaf, so she will not come hearing her name but very friendly to people and will enjoy eating any snacks.

Here is the Craigslist post:

LOST Jack Russell old dog with dementia

Our 19 year old Jack Russell Libby pulled a Houdini and squirmed out of her collar this morning while she was on the back porch and she escaped. She is very old, completely deaf, and she suffers from CCD (Canine Cognitive Disorder - like doggie Alzheimer's). She is almost all white now (brown spots faded due to age) but has black on her tail. No collar but booties on her back feet. We have been looking for her non-stop and we are worried she is stuck somewhere or has been hurt. She likes people and love treats. If you can grab her, great. She is very thin and frail and weighs nothing. She will not resist you.

Please contact 206-877-2093 if you have information or see the dog.

Lost Dog Seen On 49th Avenue NE

The Laurelhurst Blog received this information:

I live on the 3800 block of 49th Avenue NE and yesterday we saw a scared and collarless black dog roaming around.
We tried to hold onto her in our garage, as we have other pets, to try and find the owner but sadly the dog ran away from.
The dog has a jacket on, but doesn't have identification tags. The dog seems to be staying around 49th Avenue NE and the alley.

Please contact laurelhurstblogger@gmail.com if you have information.

Is This Your Yellow Lab?

The Laurelhurst Blog received this information:

New rental neighbors living near us, found a male yellow lab, without a collar, wandering on 49th Avenue NE near St. Bridget's church around 3:30pm yesterday.
The renters asked many neighbors on the street and those passing by, and no one knew who the dog belongs so they took him to a shelter in Ballard on 15th Avenue NW in the hopes that the owner will retrieve him.
The dog has a chip and the renters are still trying to locate the owners, if chip information is current, but haven’t that I know of.

Lost Husky Dog

The Laurelhurst Blog received this information:
We lost our white with silver and black Husky, Luna, on 8/15/2015 on the corner of  NE 45th Street and 51st Avenue NE.
She is 6 months old. Luna has a microchip as well as a name tag with our address. The microchip and tag have not helped yet. We have put signs everywhere, but she has not been found yet. We thought a community effort might bring our dog back.

If found please contact Mona at
(404) 729-2728.
