Get Involved with Young Birders!
The new year of Young Birders is about to get up and running, so get involved as a volunteer or youth participant! Young Birders brings together teens between the ages of 13-18 with an interest in birds and conservation for a fun series of field trips, meetings, outreach activities, and scientific monitoring efforts.
Experienced volunteers and naturalists help members learn about Washington's birds and their place in the environment. Young Birders is a great way for teenagers to explore Northwest ecology, gain naturalist skills, and make a positive contribution to the natural world. Additionally, it helps to build leadership skills, social networks, and can count towards service learning credits!
The first volunteer meeting is tonight at 7pm at Seattle Audubon and Nature Shop (8050 35th Avenue NE) and the first participant meeting is October 12th at 7pm.
