Gas Leak Yesterday On West Laurelhurst Drive Sends Multiple Fire Engines To The Scene
The Laurelhurst Blog staff received many emails asking about the multiple sirens heard in the neighborhood yesterday afternoon.
Around 1:45pm yesterday, a code green went out on the Seattle Police 911 scanner about a "domestic natural gas line leaking" in the 3000 block of West Laurelhurst Drive.
Several fire trucks responded and a few minutes later it could be heard on the scanner from a fireman on scene that "it was a minor leak comparatively speaking" and that it was being handled.
The Laurelhurst Elementary School notified parents saying that they were "monitoring the situation, in communication with the fire department, and everyone at Laurelhurst is safe."
