April showers were few this spring and apparently so were new listings in Laurelhurst. Compared to last year both Laurelhurst and Seattle metro were down about 25% in number of listed homes compared to the spring of 2014.
When a property does come on the market in Laurelhurst, it is many times selling above its list price. The perfect example is a waterfront property that was listed and sold in April. The list price was $4,650,000 and it sold with multiple offers for $5,220,000.
Real Estate Trivia:
Just 30 years ago interest rates were in the 12 to 14% range. Today they are approximately 3.8% for 30 year fixed mortgage.
