Roosevelt High School starts eight performances of "Mary Poppins" on Thursday evening. This is Ruben Van Kempen's last show as Drama teacher, where he has been teaching for 38 years. The drama program has won many national awards and honors over the years.
Several Laurelhurst residents are in the 70 person cast, including Abby Jernberg, who went to Laurelhurst Elementary and Eckstein and is currently a senior at Roosevelt and has been involved in drama since 6th grade.
