Laurelhurst Family Sponsoring Special Blood Drive On Saturday At Villa Academy

A long-time Laurelhurst resident, Karmann, sent us information about a special Blood Drive at Villa Academy on Saturday, in the name of her neighbor Lisa Percival, who is undergoing treatment for leukemia.

Karmann told us that "Lisa, and her husband Don, raised three terrific boys who all grew up in Laurelhurst. Lisa knows full well the importance of blood donations from healthy individuals. I know she and Don would love this to be a successful blood drive as the Puget Sound Blood Center is in dire need of blood donors."

Lisa's husband wrote:
Many thanks to those of you who have reserved time slots for the blood drive for Lisa’s Birthday Blood Drive.
This enables the Puget Sound Blood Center to make sure they will have the right number of people to handle donors without delay.  For those of you who have not already reserved a time, you can do so by using the instructions below to sign up for a specific time slot, or simply by calling 1-800-398-7888.  (If more than 90% of the scheduled slots are filled, PSBC can add more personnel to take additional donors.)
