Part Of Montlake Boulevard Closed All Week-end For Building Of Pedestrian Bridge
All traffic lanes and sidewalks on Montlake Blvd. between NE Pacific Street and Pacific Place will be closed Saturday from 3am through Monday 5am for construction crews to continue building the University of Washington Station’s pedestrian/bicycle bridge across Montlake for the new UW Light Rail Station, which will be a 3.15-mile extension of light rail from downtown Seattle to the University of Washington.
Cars and pedestrians will be diverted as follows:
• Northbound traffic must turn left from Montlake Blvd. onto NE Pacific Street, right onto NE Pacific Place and turn left back onto Montlake Blvd. at the signal.
• Southbound traffic must turn right onto NE Pacific Place, left onto Brooklyn Ave NE, left onto NE Boat Street, left onto 15th Ave NE and right onto NE Pacific Street to the Montlake Bridge.
• Pedestrians and bicyclists will be detoured onto a temporary bike path around the triangle and Pacific Place.
• The west sidewalk will be closed. Pedestrians and bicyclists will be detoured onto a temporary bike path around the triangle and Pacific Place.
