Seattle Public Library Hosts New Online Book Discussion Group Starting Today

Join a virtual book discussion!

The Seattle Public Library is hosting an online book discussion group, Book Chat, featuring “Cutting for Stone” by Abraham Verghese, starting, today through November.

The information says:

Like to read but too busy to join a book group? Are you a night owl who wants to talk about books?  Book Chat is a virtual book discussion in a blog-style format hosted on the Library’s website.

Some advantages of joining Book Chat: no one can see you, there's no commitment, you don't have to host the group and you can comment wherever and whenever you like.

To find Book Chat, select “Library Collection” from the top menu, then “Books, Movies & Music” on the left. No formal registration is required to participate in Book Chat, just a name and email address.

Extra copies of the book are available at the Northeast branch while supplies last.

Book Chat is made possible by a grant from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation with support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation.
