Interesting Classes Happening This Month At The Northeast Library Branch

July 12:
Computer Basics 1
4 – 5:30 p.m.
Summary: Want to begin using a computer?
July 14:
Make a Book
3 – 4:30 p.m.
Summary: Instructors from the Seattle Center for Book Arts show you how handmade books can add a creative twist to traditional soft and hard-cover books. All materials and supplies provided. Groups and drop-ins welcome. For ages 12 and up.
July 19:
The Talking Vegetables
10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Summary: Ananse the Spider would rather sleep than work in the village garden, but when harvest season comes, the vegetables refuse to let Ananse eat them! Performers Won-Ldy Paye and Etienne Cakpo incorporate African dance and drumming into this story about reaping what you sow. For ages 4-12.
Computer Basics 2
4 – 5:30 p.m.
Summary: Work successfully in the Windows environment by learning the most common Windows features, including toolbars, the scroll bar, and text boxes.
July 20:
Pajamas and Puppets
7 – 7:30 p.m.
Summary: It's time for a Pajamas and Puppets story time at the Northeast Branch! Bring your preschoolers and toddlers to enjoy a puppet show, some stories, rhymes, songs and fun with our children's librarian.

Library Catalog Basics
4 – 5:30 p.m.
Summary: Learn how to find, reserve, and renew items.
July 26:
Web 2.0 Basics
6 – 7:30 p.m.
Summary: Come to this class if you want to learn about the newest generation of websites.
July 28:
Duct Tape Mania
3 – 4:30 p.m.
Summary: Find out what you can make with a roll of duct tape! Create roses, picture frames, wallets and more. Bring your creative side and discover a new use for this sticky product. For ages 12-18.
