Children's Holding One Of Two Transportation Meetings Tomorrow Morning

Children's Hospital is holding two community meetings about transportation changes happening in NE Seattle. Representatives from the Seattle Department of Transportation will also be at the meeting.

The first meeting is tomorrow morning from 10-12 in the lunchroom/auditorium at Laurelhurst Elementary School (4530 46th Avenue NE).

It is a transportation workshop to learn and share ideas about:
  • the future traffic signal at 40th Avenue NE and Sand Point Way NE and surrounding streets and intersections
  • other Phase 1 Livable Streets Transportation improvement projects
The second meeting is April 30th from10-12 in the NHS Hall at the Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street).

The invite sent to the community says that kids are welcome. And at both meetings the hospital will provide free bike helmets and fittings for kids. There will also be a "Skillz and Thrillz" safety course, so kids should bring their bikes to participate.
