Great Pumpkin Party at Laurelhurst Community Center on Friday And Halloween Storytime Today

Don't miss the annual Great Pumpkin Party this Friday from 6-8pm at the Laurelhurst Community Center.

There will be Halloween crafts, cookie decorating, cake walk, Halloween carnival games, prizes and a pottery project for all ages.

And “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and other Halloween classics will be showing on the big screen.

Bring a small pumpkin to decorate. If you forget to bring your own, there will be a limited supply of pumpkins for decorating available.

Volunteers are needed. Call 684-7529 or email Laurelhurst.CC@Seattle.Gov to help.

Entry is free and carnival tickets are 25¢ each.

Also this week's storytime, which happens every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30am is all about pumpkins. Learn about pumpkins and how to harvest them. And make paper jack-o-lanterns.

Every Tuesday morning Dena has a different theme at storytime, and reads a few books followed by some fun crafts designed for ages 2-5.

Cost is $2 if you pre-register and $3 fpr drop-in.
