Ice Cream Social And Carnival At Laurelhurst Elementary School On Friday

Don't miss the annual Laurelhurst Elementary School Ice-cream Social coming upon Friday from 5-8 pm and open to the community. 

The majority of the booths and rides will be indoors in the covered playcourt and gym this year due to a chance of rain.

The evening will be filled with lots of activities for all ages - including games, live music, game booths, hot dog dinner, pony rides, cake walks, feather hair extensions, temporary tattoos, bouncy house, dunk tank, and ice cream sundae station and much more. .

There will also be an exciting raffle with great prizes.

Molly Moon's Home-Made Ice Cream Truck Stops in Laurelhurst

Molly Moon's Home-Made Ice Cream Truck was spotted last night about 6:15pm near the Laurelhurst Community Center on 48th Avenue NE.

One of our staffers happened to pass that area and stopped to snap the picture above just as the truck had arrived.

The vendor, Tim, said he was headed to a private party in the neighborhood and was making a one hour stop to sell ice-cream to the public.

The staffer suggested he head to the Beach Club. And looks like he went there as at 6:24 Tim tweeted: "Laurelhurst beach club come get some ice cream! We'll be at 51st and laurelcrest lane for an hour!"

Molly Moon's has a store in Wallingford which staffers say every time they go by always has a long line out the door. There is another store in Capitol Hill.
