Tonight Annual LCC Neighbor Meeting



Tonight at 7pm the Laurelhurst Community Club (LCC) is holding its Annual Neighbors Meeting via Zoom.  

Here is the agenda:

  • Treasurer's Report
  • Election of Trustees (Nominated trustees:Kathryn Kelly, Jeannie Hale, Liz Hemer, Brian McMullen, Don Torrie, see below)
7:20   UW Professor Discusses COVID-19
Dr. Stephen Hawes, Professor and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of Washington, will discuss the UW's role on predictability, analysis, and public health policy implications.  

8:30   Adjourn

Candidates for the Board of Trustees 

  • Kathryn Kelly works in the Fetal Alcohol and Drug Unit in the UW School of Medicine and trains judges, attorneys, court professionals and drug treatment providers and travels nationally and internationally.  Kay represents LCC on CUCAC and serves as Crime Prevention Co-Chair. 
  • Jeannie Hale is a long time Laurelhurst resident and serves as LCC’s co-president. She is an attorney with extensive experience lobbying public officials at the state and local level. 
  • Brian McMullen serves as Crime Prevention co-chair and is also on LCC’s Land Use Committee. 
  • Liz Hemer  grew up in Laurelhurst and coordinated the North Laurelhurst Transportation Plan working with neighbors, SDOT and a transportation consultant. She also represents LCC on land use, shoreline, and transportation issues. 
  • Don Torrie grew up in Laurelhurst and represents LCC on the Community Center advisory group.
