Wednesday UW's Eagleson Hall To Be Considered For Landmarks Status

Eagleson Hall, University of Washington, 1967

On Wednesday at 3:30pm the UW's Eagleson Hall will be considered for nomination.

The information says:
The University of Washington is presenting a landmark nomination for Eagleson Hall to the Landmarks Preservation Board on Wednesday at 3:30pm (City Hall, 600 4th Avenue, Floor L2, Room L2-80).
The building, located at 1417 NE 42nd Street across from the main campus, was originally constructed in 1923 as the University YMCA.
Designed by Bebb & Gould in the Collegiate Gothic style, the building is representative of the early development of the commercial district west of campus.
It's our understanding that the building will be undergoing some renovation and seismic upgrades, and UW supports the nomination/designation. Historic Seattle supports the nomination of Eagleson Hall.
The public can share comments in support through today to Landmarks Preservation Board Coordinator Erin Doherty, or attend the public meeting on May 15 to provide comments in person.
