NE Seattle Little League All Star Tournament Friday Evening at the Playfield

John Joynt, the coach from the Northeast Seattle Little League,  sent us email to let the neighborhood know that the first game in the Baseball All Star Tournament will be at the Laurelhurst Playfield on Friday at 6pm. The NE Seattle Little League will be playing the North Central Team.

NE Seattle Little League is very excited to be hosting this first game in the neighborhood in over a decade.

The Baseball All Star Tournament is the post season tournament play between a number of District Little League teams; NE Seattle being District 8 and here is a list of the team members.

The tournament will move to the Mickey Merriam Field in Magnuson Park on Saturday July 10th for the final games and the winning team will then compete in the State Tournament.

"This is the first time in over a decade that Northeast has hosted the tournament here in our neighborhood and we are committed to making it a memorable experience for our team and our surrounding neighborhoods from District 8. This promises to be as exciting as our Opening Day and Championship Saturday events, so come out and help us put on a good show and watch our NESLL team in action." John says.

Check out the full tournament schedule and more information here

Here is a post we did in April about the NE Seattle Little League.

UPDATE: July 1st from John:

"The Northeast Seattle 10/11 Baseball All Star team won its opening game vs. North Central (6-5) on Friday night.

Next up: Richmond 2:00pm Saturday July, 3rd at Laurelhurst, Field 2.

Come out to cheer the boys on to another victory!"
