SOME TOPICS MIGHT INCLUDE:
1. Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda http://murray.seattle.gov/ housing/ We are concerned about having up zone balance, and oppose the one-size-fits all up zoning approach that seems to be taking hold at City Hall. 2. Homeless in Seattle: Crime in our neighborhoods has increased & several Illegal encampments and ‘squatters’ in vacant properties: now the idea of having RVs in neighborhoods AND what’s a community to do?
3. SR 520 Bridge Replacement: This mega project will impact dense Seattle neighborhoods until 2029. Recently the city approved a noise variance that will allow construction work night and day. Condemnation of the Montlake Market, prevention of noisy expansion joints and lighting are important topics. We are asking the new Mayor to create a ‘steering committee’ for the SR520 project that includes key community leaders versus WSDOT’s broad ‘check the box’ public outreach to date.4. Traffic Management: Construction haul routes on surface streets, parking impacts and closures must be managed by Seattle Department of Transportation.

5. Infrastructure needs to be in place before over development-the City cannot absorb growth without transit, more schools and police. Impact fees-where are they?
6. Design Standards are lacking for compatibility-mishmash of cheaply constructed buildings ,and loss of vibrant neighborhood local businesses are replaced with tall rectangles.
7. Balancing Police numbers for neighborhood policing as well as for Seattle's "big events"?
8. How will the City work with the U of WA on its massive growth plan and plan for road improvements?
8. Mobility for all modes of transportation-gridlock for vehicles is hurting businesses.
