Tonight Art Walk Magnuson Park Gallery

as

Cloud Cabinet by Melanie Reed

A Laurelhurst Blog reader sent this information:
The community is invited to join the Magnuson Park Gallery monthly art walks starting tonight from 5-8pm at the artist studios located in Magnuson Park Building 30 West.
There will be an artist discussion, opportunity to meet the featured artist and other artists in their open studios, live music, and a local food truck, this month featuring Tacos El Guero
I hope people will be able to come to see and experience the amazing public art here in this beautifully restored and refurbished art-deco building  in the heart of Magnuson Park.

You don’t have to trek all the way downtown to view great art when it’s right here in NE Seattle. Enjoy discovering amazing local artists in the gallery and spectacular works from the City of Seattle's permanent collection on display. Admission and parking are free.

On Display through February 18: Interior Landscapes by Melanie Reed
Collage artist Melanie Reed, a local artist focusing on Surrealist collage, is exhibiting her newest body of work, "Interior Landscapes."
Melanie uses traditional collage materials, constructing her work exclusively out of found paper fragments to create “pieces that contain solid, versatile composition, without sacrificing the tactile qualities that reflect the hand of the artist.” She meticulously arranges each piece to create seamless transitions, which “elevate the everyday, and inspire a multiplicity of creative connections.”
