"Hansel and Gretel" Opera Preview Lecture Tonight At NE Branch Library

Tonight at 6:30pm, the NE Branch of the Seattle Public Library will host a preview lecture of Seattle Opera's upcoming production of Humperdinck's "Hansel & Gretel."


Join Theodore Deacon for an entertaining preview lecture of Humperdinck’s atmospheric adaptation of the familiar Brothers Grimm story explores themes of poverty, peril, and courage, culminating in happiness for all – save for one very bad witch. 
Celebrating the richness of imagination and offering entertaining commentary on the pitfalls of consumerism in the modern world, it’s unlike any fairytale you’ve ever seen.


This is a free event and is open to the public. Registration is not needed. Doors will open 15 minutes before the program.
