A Blog reader sent in this information about the UW Medicinal Herb Garden that has been on campus since it was created in 1911 created by the Pharmacy Department.
The information on the website says about the Herb Garden:
The 2.5 acre Medicinal Herb Garden is home to a wide variety of healing plants from around the world. Most of the plants are in formal garden beds but many more grow in the wooded borders. The Medicinal Herb Garden is free and open at all times.
The group who tends the Garden has started a blog and the authors say that the posts contain natural history of the garden’s plants and animals, cultural history of medicinal plants a bit about gardening.
