Give Your Input To New Seattle Parks Superintendent At Community Center On Tuesday, Child Care Offered

Meet the new Seattle Parks and Recreation Superintendent Jesús Aguirre on Tuesday at the Laurelhurst Community Center from 6:30-8pm.

This is one of many community meetings  being held throughout the City for Aguirre to share his vision for the future of the department and to learn more about the unique needs of each of the city’s diverse neighborhoods.

At the Laurelhurst neighborhood meeting, Superintendent Aguirre will present on the future of Seattle Parks and Recreation, the department’s goals moving forward.

A community discussion will follow regarding Laurelhurst Community Center, Laurelhurst Park and surrounding Seattle Parks and Recreation sites.

Aguirre would like to learn more about what’s important to neighbors with regards to recreation and public spaces.  Neighbors are encouraged to bring questions, give feedback and concerns.

"Come represent your Laurelhurst Community!" the invitation says.

During the meeting, kids can participate in a special "Arts and Crafts Night" with Miss Jaqueline. A fun Halloween art project and snack will be available for the kids ages 3 and up in the Fireside Room.  Call ahead to reserve a spot and drop in is also available on a first come, first serve basis.

For those not able to attend the meeting, here is a Seattle Parks survey to provide feedback.
