Illegal For Cars To Block Sidewalks

Several neighbors have emailed the Laurelhurst Blog in an effort to remind neighbors that it is illegal for cars to be parked on any portion of the sidewalk.

One neighbor said:
There is always plenty of available curbside parking it just might be a house or two away.
Many neighbors while walking dogs or pushing strollers and children riding bikes or skating along these blocked sidewalks can be forced out into the street.
The combination of blocked sidewalks with distracted divers speeding along our narrow streets is an accident waiting to happen.
