NEST (Northeast Seattle Together)  which supports Northeast Seattle elder neighbors through a network of volunteers and vendors, is having two free public lectures today and next Wednesday at 2:30pm on financial planning at the Laurelhurst Community Center, along with Seattle Parks and Recreation and Eagle Strategies LLC.

Today the topic is Wills and Trusts: Are Your Documents Correct, in Order and Up-to-date?

• Are you better off with a will or a trust, and what is probate all about? Are your documents up-to-
date, complete, and organized? Learn about the best practices in estate planning, document
management and changes in estate tax laws.
• Maximize Your Legacy, Minimize Your Taxes; Planned Giving to Family and to Charity
• Being thoughtful about your estate and charitable planning can help enable you to have greater peace of mind and more flexible strategies for your assets. Many planned gifts can help you reduce your taxes. The greatest benefit, however, is knowing you are supporting what is important to you and helpful to others, whether that is in your community or in your family.
