Seattle Police's Holiday Sock Drive Accepting Donations

Hand-made items made by Laurelhurst neighbors

The annual Seattle Police North Precinct Holiday Sock Drive is going on until December 16th.

Every year the Seattle Police collects new gloves, hats and socks to distribute at family shelters and give to homeless people living on the streets and organizations throughout the city who help people in need.  Some of the items donated are kept at the North Precinct.

Your generous donations of socks, hats, scarves and mittens will warm our communities less fortunate this year," one of the Sock Drive coordinators told us.

Donations can be dropped off at Flooring America (3605 NE 45th Street) or Windermere (5424 Sand Point Way.

"We are so pleased with the generosity and caring of our neighbors for this project who have put in many hours making beautiful hand-made items," a Laurelhurst Community Club Boad member told us.
