Tennis Courts Lights Turned Off Today Until March

           

Seattle Parks and Recreation is turning off most outdoor lighted tennis courts, including the ones at Laurelhurst Park todayfor the winter on November 4, 2013. Lights will be turned back on March 9th of next year.

The information says:
Lights are being shut off in an effort to create energy savings during the months when few people play outside. Parks estimates the savings from turning these lights off to be about $15,000.

The closest lighted tennis courts that are on year round is at Meadowbrook Playfield (10533 35th Avenue NE) where there are six courts.
