On Saturday from 11-2pm Oct. 5th from 11-2pm, the Magnuson Community Center will be having a free family event called the "Scarecrow Mini-Fest."
The information says:
Our Scarecrow Mini Fest features live bluegrass music, a scavenger hunt in the Community Garden Orchard, Children’s Garden exploration and nature art, garden games, kids activities, a ride-on kiddie tractor corral, and of course, making scarecrows!
You bring the clothes, pillow case for the head and we supply the straw and frame materials. Put your scarecrow on display during the Mini Fest and see if you win the grand prize! Cost for making a scarecrow is $10.
The event will be held at the Magnuson Park Garden Amphitheater and Children’s Garden (6344 NE 74th Street.) For more information call the Magnuson Community Center at 206-684-7026.
