Kim Dales, Windermere agent, recently toured a new home for sale in the neighborhood, described as an "opulent mansion" in the Seattle P-I describes.
The P-I says:
When you think of Laurelhurst opulence, it's very likely something like 3008 Webster Point Road N.E. The 7,404-square-foot mansion, built in 1910, has seven bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a sunroom, a den, a game room, a media room, leaded glass, massive moldings, sport and tennis courts, a dock with a boat lift and views of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains on a 0.41-acre lot. It's listed for $4.75 million.
Kim told us that the home was purchased in late 2010 by the current owners and extensively remodeled, with "not a detail spared, maintaining its grand lines and details."
She added:
It features an abundance of old world charm. The period detailing has been painstakingly preserved and or replaced. Unobstructed views of Lake Washington can be found from the majority of its rooms. From the millwork, to the light fixtures, including the preserved wallpaper, every detail has been thoughtfully executed.
The home is not waterfront, however it shares a dock and tennis courts with its Webster Point neighbors.
