Tonight is "Thirsty Thurday" at Laurelhurst Wine Merchants (3711 NE 45th Street) from 5-7pm featuring Zinfandel.

The invitation says:
Remember when Zinfandel was the 'it' grape?  Well it's time to revisit an old friend and one of the few grapes we in the US have made our own.  We'll be featuring Renwood Zinfandels from Amador County, 2010 Clarion, 2010 Old Vine Zinfandel, 2010 Fiddletown Zinfandel and 2010 Reserve Zinfandel.
Laurelhurst Wine Merchants also offers a Wine Club with six different levels of membership. Some of the perks are specific tasting notes on each wine as well as pairing suggestions, 10% off on on all regularly priced wine and accessory purchases, invitations to special events and private tastings and additional discounts on special events.

The website says:
We have 6 different options that give you an opportunity to find new and exciting wines.  Being a wine club member also saves you 10% every day and brings discounts on classes and events as well.

Unlike winery clubs, you get to experience a wide range of wines from all over the world as well as from right here in the NW.  We spend our days tasting so you can be sure you are getting the best wines we can find for the money.

Laurelhurst Wine Merchants has teamed up with Strom Peterson, The Resident Cheesemonger, to offer a selection of quality cheeses and meats from around the world.

The owners of Laurelhurst Wine Merchants are Richard and Lynda Chapman who told us that they have grown to love wine during their travels around the world and decided to open a store along with Janet, the store manager, who is an ISG accredited sommelier and has been a part of the wine scene in the Seattle area for a number of years.

Laurelhurst Wine Merchants is open 6 days a week and their website says "We pride ourselves on selecting the very best wine with prices to fit every budget."
