SDOt's Laurelhurst Bicycle Master Plan On LCC Agenda Tonight

The Laurelhurst Community Club is holding its monthly Board meeeting tonight at 7pm in the Fireside Room at the Laurelhurst Community Center.

Of particular note on tonight's agenda, is SDOT's (Seattle Department of Transportation) attendance to provide further information on the Bicycle Master Plan process and answer questions from neighbors, as well as the opportunity for neighbors to provide input on the plan for the neighborhood.

Cary, a neighbor, coordinated a ride earlier this month along with other neighbors, representatives from the Laurelhurst Community Club and the Laurelhurst Elementary School Bike-to-School program for a bike ride around Laurelhurst so that neighbors could help scope out routes through the neighborhood. The riders rode the potential routes and then discussed the issues in planning safe routes to school and creating connections to the Burke-Gilman Trail, which will be presented to SDOT tonight.
