The Northeast Branch of the Seattle Public Library (6801 35th Avenue N.E) is hosting a free preview lecture of Seattle Opera’s upcoming production of Rossini’s “La Cenerentola," translated as Cinderella, tomorrow from 6:30-7:30pm.

“Cinderella” by Rossini is an Italian retelling of the classic fairy tale.  The preview will include recorded musical excerpts designed to enhance the enjoyment and appreciation of the production.

The information says:
Seattle Opera  educators will present an hour-long, engaging multimedia lecture that covers the basics of the opera's history, music and stagecraft.
"La Cenerentola" is a comedic love story that sails through flowery ensembles, ridiculous situations and a lovely cavatina or two en route to a fairy tale finale.
Rossini's brisk, catchy and entertaining retelling of the ultimate rags-to-riches story cleverly blends tenderness and frivolity to fabulous effect.
