Tile Show Tonight And Tomorrow At Center For Urban Horticulture

Tonight from 7-9pm and tomorrow from 10-5pm there will be a Tile show and sale featuring over thirty Northwest artists representing a wide range of tile styles and designs ranging from classic to contemporary, plus ceramic wall and garden art,  at the Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street).

There will also be Seattle’s Own “Antique Tile Roadshow” where you can bring in photos of historic tiles in your home and experts with the Tile Heritage Foundation will identify the tile-maker. "Think your fireplace has old Batchelder or other classic tiles? This is your chance to find out," the information says.

Here are more details:

Tonight there will be a juried show of botanical themed tiles with guest judges including author and KUOW weekly guest Marty Wingate, Charles Price and Glenn Withey from Dunn Gardens and ceramic artist George Rodriquez.
Tomorrow the festival features tile sales, door prizes and hourly tile-making and tile-design demos plus a presentation by a member of the Northwest Society of Interior Design (NSID) on using artisan tiles in residential design.

Prices of tiles range from $10-$500.
Enjoy meeting the artists, tile making workshops, the tile sale, door prizes, and garden art and see tile pictures from around the world.
