NEST(Northeast Seattle Together) is holding a lecture tonight titled, "It's Personal: Get Ready for Life's Inevitable Changes", from 6:30-8:30pm tonight.
The lecture description says:
Judy Pigott and Ben Kaufman show you how to find your direction and take confident action when life becomes challenging.
This workshop helps you understand how fear and other emotions can keep us isolated. By the end, you will possess the tools to create and improve your own personal safety net so that you feel safer, securer, and more connected in an interdependent community.
Judy Pigott, winner of this
year’s Leadership Legacy
Award, will
present tonight's interactive workshop in which the mission is "to replace fear
and isolation with security and connection" and create a network of support
before there is any crisis."
Judy will help participants assess and build personal safety nets for themselves and those close to them.
NEST says on their website that the information to be presented at the workshop "fits well with the NEST's mission to connect Northeast Seattle residents to community resouces and to provide social and educational opportunities, so that NEST members, as they age, can live confidently and safely in their homes and neighborhoods."
