Follow Seattle Police Department Neighborhood Dispatches On Twitter
Seattle Police Department's has recently launched a new website, Tweets By Beats , allowing anyone to view police dispatches in each of Seattle’s 51 police beats by following crime happening in a specific neighborhood.
Tweets By Beat works similarly to a police scanner, giving information about what type of crimes officers are responding to, and where those crimes are happening.
To use Tweets By Beat, type in your address here and it will go to the specific beat's Twitter page nearest your address.
The incidents posted on Twitter aren't posted in real time, but one hour after an office is dispatched in order to protect crime victims, officers, and the integrity of crime scenes.
The feeds don't include information about domestic violence calls, sexual assaults and other certain types of crimes.
Laurelhurst is located within the North Precinct and in the L3 beat, corresponding to this Twitter page.
You can send Tweet emailto SPD@SeattlePD or for more information email SPDNews@Seattle.gov.
