Salmon Bake Volunteers Needed For Upcoming Event

Cara Brown, Recreation Coordinator at the Laurelhurst Community Center, sent us email to let the neighborood know  that planning is in full swing for the annual Summer Bake held at the Park on September 6th from 5:30-8:30pm and volunteers are needed again this year to make it a success.

Last year, several hundred people attended eating the wood smoked salmon dinners and the children playing at the carnival style games and bouncy house.

Cara wrote:
Despite the severe Parks Department budget impacts last year, the 2011 Salmon Bake was a huge success thanks to the many community volunteers who graciously assisted in planning the event, set up, serving and cleaning up.
This year’s event will again need to rely on help from volunteers to help make it another successful evening for the community.

To help plan, set up, clean up or staff this year’s event, please contact Cara at Laurelhurst Community Center, 206-615-0617 or email cara.brown@seattle.gov.
