NEST Offering Free Class On Managing Your 911 Experience

Scott and his sons

NEST (North East Seattle Together), along with Firefighter Scott Wedemeyer will be hosting  free class on " managing your 911 experience" tomorrow from 1-2:30pm at the Northgate Branch of The Seattle Public Library, (10548 Fifth Avenue N.E)

NEST, which launched last month, is a non-profit grassroots operation serving NE Seattle seniors by creating a "virtual village" to helping them be able to stay in their own homes and neighborhoods they love.

The invitation says that "You may have more control over your 911 experience than you previously thought."

And Scott, a Wedgwood resident and NEST volunteer, along with his sons, will cover:
  • How the 911 system works
  • How to refuse treatment and stay home
  • How to use Do Not Resuscitate and POLST documents
  • The Vial of Life - how to use and where to store it
  • How to request a silent approach
  • How to get FREE and installed smoke alarms and grab bars
For more information call 206-525-6378 or email info@nestseattle.org.
