Urban Forest Symposium Today At Center For Urban Horticulture



The 2012 Urban Forest Symposium, presented by Plant Amnesty and the University of Washington Botanic Gardens, is holding their 4th Annual Urban Forest Symposium titled "Mobilizing Volunteers" today from 9-4pm at the Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street).

The information says:

This year's symposium will address the concerns of municipalities, NGO's and educational groups whose work involves volunteer planting and care for the urban forest. Our keynoter, world renowned speaker and grassroots organizer, Andy Lipkis, will take us on the inspirational journey from the founding of the Los Angeles' Tree People who planted one million trees for the l984 Olympics to the influential 10,000 member volunteer organization it is today.


The cost is $45 per person and lunches are available for $15.
