Kristin, Race Director for Run Like A Mother, a women only 5k fun run and a kids' 1 mile run, would like to invite the community on Sunday to this special race.
Kristin told us the race originated in Connecticut with a bunch of moms deciding to meet for an early morning run to start off their Mother's Day. It has since evolved into a run that will be in 12 cities this year.
"The run is all about moms being healthy and taking care of themselves and having one day when their family is cheering them on instead of vice versa" Kristin said.
The race starts at the Junior League Park at 9am for the women only 5k and the kids race starts at 8:30am.
