NEST Holding Personal Safey Workshop Tonight

NEST (Northeast Seattle Together) is holding a Personal Safety Workshop tonight from 5-7 pm at the Unitarian Church (6556 35th Avenue NE).

NEST is a grass-roots community dedicated to ensuring that as people grow older, they can continue to live safely and confidently in their own homes.
,
Judy Pigott, winner of this year’s Leadership Legacy Award, will present tonight's interactive workshop in which the mission is "to replace fear and isolation with security and connection" and create a network of support before there is any crisis."

Judy will help participants assess and build personal safety nets for themselves and those close to them.

NEST says on their website that the information to be presented at the workshop "fits well with the NEST's mission to connect Northeast Seattle residents to community resouces and to provide social and educational opportunities, so that NEST members, as they age, can live confidently and safely in their homes and neighborhoods."

The cost for the workshop is $25 for one person and $40 for a couple. Admission will include a copy of the Personal Safety Nets—Getting Ready for Life’s Inevitable Changes and Challenges and the workbook Get Ready/Get Started.
