Chris Cocklin-Ray, the pottery instructor at the Laurelhurst Community Center, sent us email to let the community know about some upcoming interesting camps and classes.

Three summer campsare offered July 5-8, July 11-15,August 1-5 all from 9am-1pm.  The cost is $215.00 four days, and $265.00 for the five sessions with all materials included.

Chris says " With a small class your kids will get lots of attention, lots of hands in clay and spend a great day in the studio.   Kids will learn to throw, handbuild, make fish platters, monsters, and nameplates along with a bunch of other fun stuff."

Also offered is a class for elementary age kids in the afternoon on Thursdays, starting next week.  The cost is $120 with all materials included.

Classes for Seniors (50+) pottery will be held on Tuesdays as well as an independent study running all summer long.
