Fitness Classes For 50 And Over Start This Week at Laurelhurst and Magnuson Community Centers
Cheryl, Recreation Specialist with Lifelong Recreation, part of Seattle Parks Deartment, sent us email about some fitness opportunities for adults 50 and over at the Laurelhurst Community Center and nearby Magnuson Community Center.
Spring classes start this week and go for 11 weeks. And to make it flexible, participants are able to pay for only the days they attend in the series. So if a program is offered Mondays and Wednesdays each week, but a participant, can only attend Mondays, only that day would need to be paid in the series.

Walking for fitness:
Maximum Walking - Tuesdays, 3–4:30pm, Laurelhurst CC ($45)
Walking 201 and Beyond - Mondays and Wednesdays, 10–11am, Magnuson CC ($30)
Limited mobility or other physical issues:
Enhance Fitness/Level 1, chair aerobics - Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:15–11:15am, Magnuson CC ($32)
Arthritis Exercise - Fridays, 9–10am, Magnuson CC ($35)
Aerobics with stretching and strengthening:
Early Bird Aerobics - Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:30–8:30am, Laurelhurst CC ($60)
Senior Aerobics - Thursdays, 8:45–9:45am, Laurelhurst CC ($30)
Senior Aerobics -Mondays and Wednesdays, 9–10am, Magnuson CC ($30)
Advanced workouts:
Strength and Sculpt - Tuesdays from 10:30–11:30am, Magnuson CC ($40)
