Only A Few Buildings Remaining At Laurelon Terrace Condominiums

Just a few buildings remaining at Laurelon Terrace Condominiums as you can see from the pictures. The buildings along the perimeter of Sand Point Way and NE 45th Street have been demolished.  In the next few weeks the remaining buildings will be gone.

The hospital's live webcam provides a real-time view.

As we stated in a previous post last week, Seattle Children's Hospital is striving to recycle about 90% of the materials from the Laurelon Terrace condominiums, The blog says that about 1,440 tons of material have been removed from the site and 1,300 tons have been taken  to local recyclers, including 538 tons of concrete, 15 tons of wood and 8 tons of metal.

According to the construction blog , there will be ongoing periodic utility work until February 14th along Sand Point Way, 40th Avenue NE and NE 45th Street to prepare the site for the beginning stages of construction.
