Little Police Activity in the Neighborhood Since June

The Crime Prevention Co-Chairs from the Laurelhurst Community Club recently sent out an update on criminal activity since their June report for the neighborhood.

They said that there have been few incidences reported to them this summer. Neighbors have notified the co-chairs of only two car prowls and two vandalized cars. And no burglaries have been reported to LCC.

"The Seattle Police department reports that burglaries in North Seattle are at a two-year low. Last month SPD arrested 15 burglary suspects in a two-week period. Many of these arrests were the result of vigilant neighbors reporting suspicious vehicles and activities," the newsletter said.

As always, people are asked to call 911 if you see unusual vehicles or activity in the neighborhood.

You can reach the LCC crime prevention coordinators by email at crimeprevention@laurelhurstcc.com if you have questions or to report crimes (after calling 911).
