Magnuson Wading Pool To Be Open This Summer, Viewridge Closed
Yesterday, Seattle Parks and Recreation, issued their mid-year 2010 budget cuts that will result in a " 2% reduction in General Fund spending, while preserving as many services as possible" the news release says.
About 6 items were on the list, including wading pools - many of which will be closed or have reduced hours this summer.
Good news, Magnuson wading pool, survived the City's mid-year budget cuts, and will be open 7 days a week from June 26th through Labor Day.
Viewridge and Ravenna wading pools will be closed this summer due to budget cuts.
Dahl will be open June 29th to August 19th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12-7pm.
The City says about the closures "While this will have an impact on families and children, it will save the City almost $0.2 million."
All Community Centers and swimming pools will be operate as they have with their normal hours.
