The NE 45th Street Viaduct is scheduled to close very soon - on June 14th until September 10th.
In anticipation of this long closure of a very well travelled route, Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is holdling an open house on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the University Heights Community Center (5031 University Way NE) to answer questions about this project, meet the contractor, learn about the detour routes, and the construction schedule.
Their website has a lot of information including detours, hours of construction, noise information, new signs to guide cars around detour, incentives, walking, bike and transit resources and more.
