Another SR 520 Meeting Tonight at 7pm

Tonight, Thursday February, 25th at 7pm, the Seattle Board of Park Commissioners will hold its next meeting regarding the 520 expansion in the Park Board Room at 100 Dexter Ave. N. cross street Denny Way.

Another meeting was held two days on Tuesday. Madison Park Blogger attended the meeting and has done an interesting recap.

The comment period has been extended through April 15th. Here are ways to comment.

To specifically comment on the environmental document email comments to SDEIS@wsdot.wa.gov or mail comments to Jenifer Young, SDEIS Environmental Manager, 600 Stewart St., Suite 520, Seattle, WA 98101.

At tonight's meeting, the staff will provide an update on the project and the comments process for the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS). Also to be discussed, areas of the project that are of specific interest to the Board, such as potential impacts to Parks-owned properties, including Bagley Viewpoint, Montlake Playfield and the Washington Park Arboretum.

Here are the design alternatives.

The Board of Park Commissioners is a seven-member citizen board created by the City Charter. Three members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council; three members are appointed by the City Council; and one member is appointed by the Park Board.
