Mister Rogers Neighborhood Sweater Drive in Our Neighborhood

Mister Rogers Neighborhood Sweater Drive is happening now through February 7th.

PCC and KCTS have joined up to collect new or gently used sweaters, coats and other cold weather gear at all PCC locations, including the one in our area in Viewridge.

Donations will be distributed to Wellspring Family Services which helps thousands of families in need in Seattle and King County.

The sweater drive was created by Neighborhood host Fred Rogers in 1998 to commemorate the show’s 30th anniversary on PBS. Since then, PBS stations across the country have partnered yearly with community groups to collect over two million items of clothing. Mister Rogers began the sweater drive six years before his death in 2003.

"Carry on Fred Rogers’ giving spirit and help those in need by donating new or gently used, clean sweaters, coats and cold weather gear," the PCC website says.
