June Center For Urban Horticulture Storytime

Miller Library, located in Laurelhurst at the Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street), continues to hold its monthly story time on-line.

This month's theme is " Garden Story Time" and is available through the end of the month.

The information says:

Here comes summer, with plenty of time for hiking, daydreaming, wondering, and imagining.  After the stories, make a nature journal to take with you on your summer adventures.

Books to be read are:

HIKE by Pete Oswald
THIS IS SADIE by Sara O’Leary
WHY DO ELEPHANTS NEED THE SUN? by Robert E. Wells

Story time is geared towards children ages 3 to 8 and celebrates gardens, plants and nature.

Here at the UW Botanic Gardens, we strive to make our spaces accessible to people of all backgrounds. We are grateful to members of our community for reaching out to inquire about the accessibility of our gardens. We have compiled a list of available resources on accessibile parking, trails, benches, and more for both the Washington Park Arboretum and Center for Urban Horticulture.

We will be continuously expanding our resources to provide a safe and comfortable space for as many visitors as possible.
