Upcoming Master Gardener Plant Sale

Master Gardener Plant Sale

The annual Master Gardener Plant Sale and Garden Market that usually happens at nearby Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street) will be online this year starting on Wednesday through Tuesday.

The information says:

The Master Gardener Online Plant Sale opens at noon on Wednesday, April 21, and closes on Tuesday, April 27, at 6:00pm.

Along with our usual outstanding selection of plant starts for every kind of vegetable garden you can imagine, this spring’s sale includes a wide variety of herbs and heirloom vegetables alongside some ornamental plants from the specialty growers and garden crafts folks you usually find at our in-person sales. All plant sale details found are here.

Over 600 Master Gardeners serve the King County area and many reside in your area. The now-worldwide Master Gardener Program began in King County in 1974, and for over 20 years the Master Gardener Foundation of King County has held a plant sale at the UW Center for Urban Horticulture to raise funds for this program and all its activities in King County. Due to Covid-19 this year we are hosting an online plant sale.

Thank you for supporting the Master Gardener Foundation of King County (MGFKC) at our plant sales. The Foundation’s fundraising from plant sales and donations provides over 75% of the budget for the WSU Extension Master Gardener program in King County. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing financial support for the research-based urban horticultural education to the residents of King . The program helps continue all the Master Gardener outreach efforts to provide research-based gardening information all across King County.
