Neighbors Open "Free Little Art Gallery" For Neighbors To Share Their Own Artwork

Cheryl Hubbell & Stacy Graves, long-time residents of Laurelhurst have started Free Little Art Gallery and are the co-curators.

The information they sent out says:

Free little art gallery opened on March 20th.  The gallery is sort of like the free little libraries where we leave a book or take a book, but with art instead. During these times when you might not be able to view or collect art in museums or galleries, you can do it while walking the dog down the street. We hope you’ll join us in some community-building creative fun!

During these times when you might not be able to view or collect art in museums or galleries.  We hope you’ll join us in some community-building creative fun. All are welcome to make and take art!

You’re invited to create art for the gallery. Pretty much anything goes — 2D art should be smaller than 11”x10" and 3D art smaller than 8” in depth. Tiny is good! You can leave your piece in the gallery. We hope to keep a small stockpile with which to populate the gallery.  Make art. Take art. Enjoy art. It's like the little free libraries, but with tiny art.

The gallery is located where 42nd Avenue NE ends at 43rd Avenue NE near Waterway 1.    Wander by anytime to check it out and perhaps leave or take a piece of tiny art.

Thank you to Seattle’s first free little art gallery for the inspiration. Check out this article to see what it's all about.
