WSDOT published this information on the upcoming lane and westbound ramp closure:
Montlake Boulevard westbound off-ramp closed this weekend, Dec. 4-7
Starting at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, through 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, crews will close the Montlake Boulevard off-ramp from westbound SR 520. During this closure, the Lake Washington Boulevard off-ramp from westbound SR 520 will remain open. As always, construction schedules are dynamic and subject to change. Check the construction corner for the latest updates.
What to expect
Crews will continue installing a water line beneath the westbound Montlake Boulevard off-ramp. You will likely hear noise from trucks, excavators, cranes, an asphalt grinder and other equipment.
The work includes:
- Saw cutting the existing pavement
- Excavating the work area
- Installing a pipe for the 54-inch city water line
- Filling and repaving a section of the ramp
The contractor has received the necessary permits, including a Temporary Noise Variance from the city of Seattle, to complete this work. The variance allows nighttime work to exceed the noise limits granted under the project’s Major Public Projects Construction Noise Variance. Crews will do everything possible to complete this work as quickly, quietly and safely as possible.
Please call the 24-hour hotline at 206-775-8885 if you have concerns, so we can address them quickly.
Montlake Bridge lane closures Saturday, Dec. 5
